Well Here it is - the new song.....! I have had various reactions to it one of them reminding someone of the smurfs! and I say any reaction is good and whats the matter with the smurfs anyway? ha ha! Every time I play it at home my son and husband are going round all day singing it so...

These books DID HIT me hard, wow! I would go so far to say you could throw away every other book in the world on philosophy - this makes you see EVERYTHING in such a different way it go's into bringing up children, health and how to keep healthy, how to create your own paradise on this planet, relationships, money, politics, religeon, history, what is important in this world etc...- you read it and it just has such an effect on you - it touched me so deeply that I have re-considered practically everything in my life.
Whether or not Anastasia is 'real' is not important, I think she is, there will always be someone in the world who is the faster thinking human being and I think that is her.
So...Iv'e messed about with the mixing of this song for so long, but now I am happy with it - it projects the idea and the 'intent' of the song. This song is going to be on my forthcoming album Celtic Isle.

Actually, to tell the truth, the reason I've been a bit lame in the studio at the moment is that I've been building a bit of a web site (hopefully there'll be one on kerchoonz too!)that will be very interesting to all you guitarists out there! Not for me you understand, but for someone else, your just going to have to wait and see who, what and why.
Needless to say, I am very excited about it and looking forward to revealing all very soon, possibly tomorrow - we'll see, these things take time to do properly!!
So...if your into guitars then.............no....I'm not going to tell you yet but believe me it will be worth it! Can you all form an orderly queue! Please....no pushing....

Do you know, I get up in the morning and usually I'm on the computor checking all my sites, god they seem to be growing and just to go through all of them takes me ages! I'm there looking out the window - its sunny out there and theres me with my cup of tea thinking - I must go out there in a bit.
Next thing, its lunchtime and my husband says - whats been happening then? and I usually say, well just chatting and etc pasting things all over the place, my son says to me how is it in cyber land? and I have to book an appointment with my real live friends (not really)!
So then......I think I really should go in the studio and finish that song.................I know I'll just write a blog instead............that will take at least 10 minutes and I won't have to make any decisions at all just blah on a bit about how I'm feeling....does anyone read these things? or am I just talking to myself? probably...but its okay I'm confident and adult and I'm in touch with all sides of my personality...
I just thought of a great easter pressie - a C.D.! if you want me to send you the real thing then just let me know, I'll throw in a bar of sally hope easter chocolate if you like!! hows that for a deal - You can choose between Medicine or Pearl - I know you can get the downloads here, but sometimes you want something to wrap up!

Well...this is exciting... the new kwidgets from Kerchoonz and I support them, with all that they are attempting to do - which is making it fair for us musicians.
Anyway, I digress, I thought I would use this kwidgit as a diary tool. I am posting some songs on here that many may not have heard, new to you, but not new to me! But as you know I am still working on some new tracks, its a hard life - so much work in recording, but fun too. Anyway...there is to be a NEW track on here in the very near future - so do keep checking to see !

Well.....two weeks later and I've finally got rid of this flu thang! God it takes it out of you and leaves you gasping and flat out like a wet rag! So get those vitamins down you girl and get back to the vital spark that you were!
I am still trying to finish these tracks, and I did pick up some good tips on Kerchoonz for studio sound. I know I've done a whole album myself (sound wise I mean!)and I am very proud of the sound, but I always want to try new things, new sounds, new visions, new music, I really want to push boundaries and use music in this artistic way, otherwise what is the point? I always like the artists that I like to bring out a different sounding album, not one that sounds the same as the last - what is the point in that? As the world changes, we should change with it and change music and art too!
So...I have so much work to do in the studio and that takes me away from these networking sites, I suppose we cannot win, I could spend all day on here and never get any songs nearer completion! Hey does anyone remember that album by Tod Rungden called 'The tortured artist effect', that phrase comes to my mind, I've always thought that it encapsulates the artist beavering away with their passion and emotions and being pushed to the limit themselves - for what 'art'! I sometimes wonder why we do it! then I realise that we cannot do without it!
Do you reckon that it is all to do with ego, why do I want my music 'out there' Its certainly not for the money, so why do we carry on! Its that spark of spirit inside that has this energy that just has to be created, to find that passion and energy that can touch someone else with the same 'wonder' Okay yes, I've been touched by the flu and maybe I am hallucinating ? No, you know what I mean, do you think that artists are the inventors of tomorrow? Do they lead the way in ideas? Do they actually sway the masses with the sounds of emotive powerful music? Is It like the hundredth monkey syndrome?
God I would hate to be in any way manufactured in this business, whether I sell to 10 or 10 million albums I would like to think that my 'art' is sacred and from the heart and soul and true to me and never to sell out that 'Magic' that it is all about in the first place, well trying to create 'Magic' is to me what its all about...
What do you reckon? - please please come and talk to me...

So, yes, I know I said that I was going to do some live videos of some new songs, but would you really want to see me full of cold, unable to sing, cough medicine at the ready - this flu thing is miserable! and I've still got some exciting songs to finish waiting to be sorted out - 3 of them - honest! theres some great stuff recorded there if only I can get my head out of 'flu space'.
I know that I should use these blogs as a marketing tool, but you know, I get bored if I look up a blog and its just about selling their latest C.D. Is that where I'm going wrong! (just joking) So...yes....you are right....how can you possibly live without owning your own copy or download of 'Medicine' or the new album 'Pearl' are you completely mad? Don't you know that just one listen of these albums will bring you all your dreams that you have ever dreamt (good ones I might add!)
Seriously - there are some fantastic artists on both of these and as a feel good C.D. it will make you 'I feel good' ...cue James Brown, was it James Brown? so, I shall just leave it with you, your all adults and capable of knowing a great thing when you hear it! okay okay I'll shut up now!
So...flu aside...the latest quirk of my life is my ipod nono - yes I have spelt it right and it is soon to be my ipod through the window. I have had it for one and a half years now - and, I have to confess it is only in the last six months that I have really got my head around it to use it! I know I know, sad isn't it!
I was thinking this is fantastic, great, hey yeah and I can even play it in the car, what an amazing piece of kit, well worth the sale price of £70 - everyone should have one of these! that is, until one day I switched it on and just got a white screen.
I went on to the apple help, which to be honest was no help at all, but then I discovered in the discussion forum, a topic dedicated to the 'white screen of death'. Interestingly, this has happened to a lot of people (no, to their ipods, not them) since the last itunes update download???
Now, think about it, and I have, yes, I know it is only guaranteed for a year, but if they can upload something that may have consequences on your bit of kit, then that is not really fair is it? I looked everywhere to find someone to email on apple to ask - guess what there is no one you can get in touch with.
From the forum, I have found someone in the UK repairing them - I told them I would mention them on here for a good deal ha ha! - well, we'll see, if anyone is having trouble then let me know and maybe we'll all get a good deal!
The thing is though, its kindof reflective of our society don't you think, bring out this expensive gizmo that everyone has to have and then when it goes wrong - ignore them completely because youve already had their money and tough - they'll just have to pay you more to get it fixed!
I don't know I just get saddened by the way it is sometimes, I am sure if a company has a positive view and a 'giving back to the customer' that it would make them an even greater company.
So this is a message to 'throw away your ipods people' cause they won't last you any longer than the £10 version from Argos - hey maybe I'll write a song...

Didn't really know what category to put this under, well...it should be maybe under food, but if you keep taking it then you won't or maybe have any life left...so its under 'life'
I watched Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's telly prog the other evening where he took on Tesco's for selling 'standard chicken' ie - chickens that do not even have room to move, it was a real eye opener. Now, a lot of chicken farms are doing 'freedom chicken' where they are still bought up in those huge hangers but do have room to behave like a normal chicken, you can see that they are more spirited happier birds, but yes they do cost a quid or two more - but I say its worth it, surely it must reflect in the taste of the meat and you know that the bird was happy.
But this programme raised even more issues for me, I have the last couple of years been aware of the dangers of Aspartame that is used in most bottled drinks, especially the diet ones, and of course sweetners or puddings, anything sweet in fact. I have just joined a 'say no to aspartame for our kids' on facebook, well never mind about the children, and never mind about the chicken, what about all of us?
There are so many health issues and problems that aspartame can cause, from Altzeimers to vertigo to death! - if you look it up on the net you will see the long list.

But there are many more articles about it. It has been banned in America and yet still whenever I go to the supermarket I have to carefully inspect any bottled drinks to make sure it is not in them! And then, pay something like £1.65 for sprite lemonade instead of the supermarket cheap brand for 15 pence!
How are food producers allowed to use this stuff, and scarily, what else do they use that is potentially bad for us, all they care about lets face it is profit, they certainly don't care about our health do they?
So...I'm just putting this bulletin to hopefully inform all of you if you don't already know, I wish more could be done about it - it would take someone like Hugh, someone in the media eye to be able to really do something about it - get it banned in this country, I really wish someone would take on the challenge!
Any takers out there? - right I'll get off my soapbox now and go write a song about injustice ?

Just where do they all the time from - musicians I mean. We are supposed to be creative and write and record songs - that is what we do, that is what we are! Then, weve got all these internet sites to run, making videos and out playing live! phew...then were supposed to write blogs about it, oh and then were supposed to be secretary, manager, artist (for publicity!), promoter, I just feel like I'm in a spin at the moment!
I love it! really I do - I wouldn't want it any other way, if I make all the decisions then I am responsible for what I create - I'm recording some new songs at the moment, trouble is I can't decide whether I'm going in the right direction or not - thats creativity for you eh! Its certainly different I can tell you that! Its difficult sometimes to get ideas out of your head and into reality! But I am really pushing boundaries this time and I am very excited about it....to be continued...!
