COMPANY HISTORY AND ACHIEVMENTS

Riverside Studios also hosts The Optimus Project, which is a 3 level youth music development programne with over 50 bands participating to date. The programne is aimed at developing the participants songwrititng, performing and recording skills as well as increasing their knowledgeof the music industry and the opportunities which may become available to them. This is acheived through a series of skill workshops and a supervised rehersal, recording and performance programne, helping the participants to write, record and perform their works, which are included in project compilation CD's and on level 3, single releases for each of the artists.These releases are circulated and distributed for sale and review, helping the artists to build their profile in the music scene.
The project is run in partnership with Stow College, and participants completing the programne are able to gain up to 11 National Certificate Credits, making the project unique in delivering both practical and educational outcomes.
Optimus is both popular and successfull, with 5 compilation albums and 25 CD singles releases to date, and another compilation about to be released from the current participants , who are now working on tracks for their individual single releases in the summer.
