Hail to the Eskimo started life on a planet that was far from ordinary, so far from ordinary... that it didn't even have a name. They were the universe's most renound intergalactic travellers and their exploits were famous on a thousand planets! Women and men (for the lady), of all species would throw themselves at them where ever they went! They were like one of your so called celebrities here on Earth. Then one day, their spaceship ran into difficulties and it crashed on this culturally retarded rock, know as Earth, and touched down in some redneck part of a town called Doncaster. They did not let despondency take hold and learned the crazy Earthling ways and cultures, trying to blend in the best they could and living the life of what they believe to be called, human beings. Anyway, enough of the blah blah stuff.
The band’s intention is to create music that appeals to a wide ranging audience yet still has the edge, allowing it to be classed in the Alternative genre. They write songs faster than they can learn them, a magical music making factory it is to be precise, and they attempt to utilise any instruments they can find regardless of quality or tone. New sounds equals new pleasures. Their songs are catchy and upbeat and they reflect the stranger parts of life and love, with a witty commentary on the mundane...
Now, it just leaves me no choice but to say...
"Let the Arctic Disco commence, pack a lean mean punch, and have the penguins and polar bears begging for more"! Badabig, badaboom... now show me them horns! x
